Postpone or Change in Program

If Daakview Meetings must cancel or postpone the event for any reason, all pre-paid registrants will have the option to attend the rescheduled event. Please be aware that the organizer and any associated parties will not be responsible for reimbursing any costs you incur for travel, accommodation, or other expenses at the individual or group level.

Force Majeure

The Daakview Meetings cannot accept responsibility, issue refunds, or provide compensation if the performance of the conference is hindered or affected by circumstances categorized as “force majeure.”

"Force majeure" encompasses any event that could not have been reasonably foreseen or prevented, even with all due diligence. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, fires, floods, explosions, storms, severe weather damage, break-ins, criminal activities, riots, civil unrest, industrial actions, natural or nuclear disasters, adverse weather conditions, acts of war or the threat thereof, actual or perceived terrorist activities, epidemics, pandemics, and any similar situations that are beyond our control.

In the event of a force majeure occurrence, the Daakview Meetings will take reasonable steps to mitigate the impact, but we cannot guarantee that the conference will proceed as planned. Attendees will be notified as soon as possible regarding any changes to the event format, schedule, or location due to such circumstances.

Insurance and Transportation

Insurance is not included with the registration. Transportation from the airport to the hotel is determined by the hotel’s services. Upon request, we can arrange transportation for attendees; however, the cost will be the responsibility of the traveler.

Responsibility

Attendees are fully responsible for their personal belongings while at the venue. This includes taking care to secure their items and being vigilant about their surroundings. The organizer will not be liable for any lost, stolen, or missing items, regardless of the circumstances. It is advisable for attendees to keep valuables close and to utilize available storage options, such as lockers, if provided. By attending the event, participants acknowledge this responsibility and agree that the organizer cannot be held accountable for any loss or theft that may occur.

Video Recording/ Photo Policy

Daakview Meetings organizers will be taking photographs, recording video, and making audio recordings throughout the event. These visual and audio materials will be used for various event-related purposes, including promotional activities.

The photographs and recordings may appear in print and electronic formats, including brochures, newsletters, and on the event website. Additionally, they may be shared on social media platforms to promote the conference and its activities.

By participating in the event, attendees grant permission for their likeness and voice to be captured and used in these materials. This helps us showcase the experience and impact of the conference, as well as to inform and attract future participants. If attendees have any concerns regarding their image or voice being used, they are encouraged to notify the organizers prior to the event.
